Ye Olde Dominic Mums' MeetingsHistory
A group of mother's of children who attended Dominic College during the '70's and '80's
used to meet in the school car park after dropping the kids off at school. Many subjects
were avidly debated. Self entitled, "The Alternative Glenorchy Council," many Council,
Tasmanian Government and even the world's problems were solved during those sessions.The Reformation. In later years, the group was re-established by coming together for dinner
on the second Friday of every second month, culminating in the Christmas Special in December.
As was the case during the school car park meetings, sprinkled with a touch of juicy gossip here
and there, local and global problems are still being solved by the girls.What will 2012 bring?
So the London Olympics went well even though Australia didn't feature as well as it should have,
Leyton Hewitt choked - as usual - Did anyone see the Uni Review? What did you think when they
all came out on the stage completely naked? And what about the nude showing at Mona! Does
anyone know anyone who went to it?The latest diet fad that works will be the biggie this year along with the Royal pregnancy. You just
watch and you'll see I'm right!The next Luncheon date: The usual group of Mum's have reformed as a Luncheon Group
Enjoy the social gathering and enjoy the meal.
